Researched and sole author of Small-Scale Providers: Typology and Profiles, first issues paper on private and community-based urban water and sanitation providers around the world (1998). Researched, wrote, and designed prototype newsletter and wrote seminar reportage for first global meeting of WSP urban water and sanitation specialists (1997). Responsible for editorial policy (in consultation with Society’s president), content recruitment, researching and writing articles, editor’s letter, liaising with those preparing new member list and obituaries, handling unsolicited manuscripts and letters to the editor, all editing and proofreading; managing event photographer, photo editing, photo captions; layout in PageMaker, photo scanning, working with printer.
