Vikings: The Return Voyage
What: White Oak High School Reunion, Class of 1978
When: Saturday June 13, 1998

The White Oak Class of 1978 Reunion Committee is excited to announce our upcoming reunion. After thirty (30) years it has been quite a task to begin finding the members of our class. There are many yet to find. Certainly, the more that come the better! In order to accomplish this objective, we must ask you for your help:

Classmates: We need your help in getting the word out to everyone. If you know the whereabouts of anyone listed on the attached 'Still Afloat' list, please let us know, or better yet, contact them and refer them to a member of the reunion committee.

We look forward to hearing from you and will be sending a final summary of events and a RSVP request later this spring. We also have e-mail addresses. We will keep this website updated so you can be aware of our progress. If you have any questions, please contact one of the following:

Summary of Events

Friday, June 12th

1. Drinks & schmoozing at the Marina Café, next to the Fisherman's Wharf  at 110 Marine Boulevard South  7p.m. to closing. Come see Bizz and other classmates put on their "bad boy" acts. Bring your own self and a designated driver.

Saturday, June 13th

1. Family Picnic: Saturday, June 13 (12 noon. - 2:00 p.m.)

Come, bring your spouse, kids and some sunscreen and have a fun time on the White Oak school grounds (rain location is in the cafeteria). It is located at 1001 Piney Green Road. It's a great park and has tennis, basketball, playgrounds, and lots more. Please be prepared to eat some great barbeque which will be provided by Smithfield's Bar-B-Q.   Cost: $6.

2. Vikings Spectacular: Saturday, June 13 (8:00pm - 12 midnight)

If you can only attend one event, this is the one you want to attend. It promises to be spectacular. Along with what is being described as light hors d'oeuvres at 8p.m. and heavy hors d'oeuvres at 10 p.m., there will be a great class of '78 program followed by a dance later in the evening. So come visit with old friends, make new ones, or just enjoy. This will be held at the Jacksonville Country Club in Jacksonville, NC. Cost: $20 per person.
