March 16, 1954 Vieques, P.R. Hi Sweetheart, I really made out today - received three of your letters. Wanda they're all I live for, your letters and the day when I'll be with you again. There isn't much news from here. O.K. Wiggins got some good news - his orders were cancelled. Boy he was all shook up. Guess I would be shook but at least if I had mine I could stay until the baby came. I know I have to go sometime - we both know that. Guess I should start answering your letters, I doubt if I finish this tonite as I will have time to write some tomorrow. My platoon has radio school in the morning so I can just take things easy. I liked those pictures you sent honey - but damn do they make me homesick. I love you baby and just miss you to much. If you get anymore pictures send them. Boy I wish this time would slip by - I need you honey. No I don't think Papa should quit work as he is like me - can't be still - it will kill him. See Wanda, you were a little shook because none of my people showed up for the shower - well they had an half ass excuse. They don't worry me - you're all I have and all I want. Yes honey I am hard up but I won't be when I get back to you. You know you didn't look so big in that picture - just looked sweeter than hell - sure wish I was with you now. Wanda I know you'll love our baby as much as you love me - I couldn't love you if you didn't. I'll love him, but not near as much as I love you - it's not possible. Wanda don't worry about me raising hell. We are drinking some - there's nothing else to do. We just sit in our tents and drink and there's no way we can get in trouble. Only kind of trouble I could get into would be on liberty and I'm not pulling any liberty. Yes honey I do want us to have another baby and we will too. Honey I promise you you'll never be miserable with me - I love you to much to let you be like that. There will be times when you'll be lonesome. Wanda it will be worth it if we can love and be happy all the time that we are together. Honey don't worry about that income tax - it won't be much. Did you know I do not have to pay it in a lump sum if need be don't have to until I'm discharged. Wanda I don't want to borrow any money until we have to cause some day we may really need it and can't get a loan. Everything will be alright - not until I can come back to you though.
