Hi Darling,
</PARA>

<PARA>
Guess now is as good a time as any to get this letter started. We came out to the boonies this morning around 8:00. We're set up in a dummy position as the planes are flying over taking pictures of our tanks. The problem will start tomorrow morning. We will have to move tonight and hide again after the planes quit coming over.
</PARA>

<PARA>
Boy is it hot I'm sweating like a whore in church and ain't even moving. That's the way it goes - burn up during the day and freeze at nite.
</PARA>
<PARA>
<NAME>Wanda</NAME> there sure isn't much to write about and I don't think we'll have any mail brought out to us this week so guess I'll just have to tell you I love you every day. I do honey, more than ever. I sure wish I could be with you now.
</PARA>
<PARA>
I've been playing with lizards all day. There are sure plenty of them around here. I was playing a harmonica and about 20 lizards came up to within a foot of me and just sat there and looked at me. I'm gonna try to grow another mustache - every one else is trying so I will to. I'd better shut up for now, eat a few beans and we'll be moving out pretty soon. The Lt. just dropped by and said they may bring our mail out tonight - sure hope so. I'll see you tomorrow darling.

Hi baby another nite gone - it was a quite one - nothing happened. We got mail, but that will be the last we get until we get back in. I got two of your letters so I'd better get busy and get them answered. Honey I'm sorry you're lonesome - I am too - believe me if there was anything I could do about it I surely would. I love you baby and would do anything for you. Just a few more days and we'll be together again and then we'll be happier than we've ever been - you just <EDNOTE>wait</EDNOTE> and see. I guess next time you'll marry someone that doesn't have money worries, won't you. <NAME>Wanda</NAME> please do not worry about our money - everything will come out O.K., if it doesn't we have plenty of friends and can borrow from the Navy if we have to. Since you wrote that letter I've sent another $60. That should help a little. I have two more paydays yet and one as so as we get back. By that time we should have 3 bonds and can cash them in if we have to. See we aren't as bad off as it looks. <NAME>Wanda</NAME> quit worrying - there just isn't any future in it for us and it damn sure isn't going to help you or our baby. Please take care of yourself for me, <NAME>Wanda</NAME>, you're all I have.
</PARA>
<PARA>
Uh-huh parking on back roads getting stuck then blaming it on your little brother, that's pretty low. <NAME>Wanda</NAME> don't fuss at <NAME>Daryl</NAME> - things like that will happen and they can't be helped. Taint no fun being stuck - is it? The car will be alright, don't worry about it. I'm not, so don't you. <NAME>Wanda</NAME> I can't remember your voice or how you look but I can still feel you. Guess both of us are a little in love. Go ahead and forget me and I'll see to it we get re-acquainted mighty fast like when I get back.
</PARA>
<PARA>
That's just fine to send mom home when I get back because all I'll want around is you. You two make your plans on how it will be, anything is alright with me. I guess the mail does go out every two days as it only comes in then.
</PARA>
<PARA>
That's just what the book that says you won't be able in two more weeks. We'll just wait and see if <NAME>Wanda</NAME> still wants it. And I bet we'll still wake up early and play. You'd better break out rubber sheets - rubbers, too. I feel like I could blast a hole through a brick yard. If that baby weighs ten lbs, you'd better have them put about 4 of those honeymoon stitches in. <NAME>Wanda</NAME> you wouldn't hide the baby from me would you. I've killed people for doing less than that. <NAME>Wanda</NAME> I wouldn't take anything for that baby - it's all ours. I like <NAME>Conni Elaine</NAME> for a name. My prediction of <NAME>Lorie</NAME>'s baby was right - it was a girl and weighed 8lbs and some ozs.
</PARA>
<PARA>
<NAME>Wanda</NAME> I know we have our troubles - everyone does - so please don't worry about them. As you can always find people that are a helluva lot worse off than we are both financially and otherwise. At least we know we will have an income tomorrow and <NAME>Wanda</NAME> we have and love each other. What can be more important than those? Honey I'll shut up for now just always remember I love you and want you forever to be mine.
